I realized today that I found another old friend today.
Didn't realize she was the one
I hoped to meet again.
I told her about how we were once neighbours,
and how we were always playing together;
and meet each other through the hole in the fence.
She remembers the fence, the house that separates our houses
she also recalls two boys, but remembers one.
"You were naughty then", she says, then laughs.
Later, everyone asked me, "You look very happy today".
I told them, "I met an old friend I haven't seen in ten years
and she was in front of me all this time".
Teenagers

[Verse 1]
They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do
[Verse 2]
Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They're gonna rip up your heads,
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine
[Chorus]
They said all teenagers scare the living sh** out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
[Verse 3]
The boys and girls in the clique
The awful names that they stick
You're never gonna fit in much, kid
But if you're troubled and hurt
What you got under your shirt
Will make them pay for the things that they did
[chorus]
Ohhh yeah!
[chorus]
All together now!
[chorus][x2]
What I find most striking is the theme of the video. Anyone who remembers Pink Floyd's The Wall movie would recognize the tribute.
-Cheerleaders in gas mask
-The break-in to the auditorium
-The teenagers reaction to the image revealed when the curtains fell
-How the video ended
-You might recognize the infamous hammer symbol on the vocalist's jacket, shaped like the letter T.
It's like an anthem for teenagers, but the message is clearly on teenage violence. The reaction when the curtain's fall is evident on this subject matter.
Another thing I like to touch on is the way the song is played. It seems like they want the teenagers to sing along to the chorus. Though MCR was suppose to sound Emo/Punk, they seem to sound more progressive in their 'Black Parade' album.
I wasn't into MCR in their 'Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge' album, but when the 'Black Parade' came about, I became really impressed with the new direction in their music. Guitar solos, non-emo topics, powerful sound, and like the last album; it's a concept album.

Silver Surfer has Risen.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer was, of course, fantastic! The presentation of the Silver Surfer was remarkable, I haven't seen a villain/hero this intimidating for awhile.
Appearing first as a small white comet, the surfer then arrives on earth like a UFO phenomenon, startling people with the cold ice he leaves behind. His appearence during the Reed/Storm wedding brings about chaos, and the Human Torch's defeat after a chase at the surfer.
The beginning brings the audience to wonder "who is this mysterious surfer who came from outer space?", "what is he capable of?", "What are his intentions?".. then somewhere in the middle, then appears a force more frightening that threatens the very existence of Earth: Galactus.
As for me, I already have my vast knowledge in comics to know how the story will go, but the movie makes the experience more new and you find yourself captivated over the beautiful CGI and special effects.
I'd like to go over the flaws like the critic I am, but I prefer not to spoil your fun once you watch it. After all, I like the movie and I hope there will be a Silver Surfer spin-off soon :)

I haven't talked about my passion in videogames in this blog. So in this post I'll be talking about some videogames that caught my eye for some time.
Sonic Rush for the Nintendo DS
Some of you will go "What, that blue devil freak?!".
Sonic the Hedgehog had not only impressed me with its adrenaline-junkie fast gameplay, but also its legacy (yes, Sonic has a legacy).
I still prefer Knuckles the Echidna though. He has that "Guardian of The Floating City" background that makes him a kind of messiah. Remains a favourite.
Plus, I wanna try something that keeps your mind in deep concentration and focus, especially in a handheld.(watch the video, you'll know what I mean)
Trauma Center: Under The Knife for the Nintendo DS
A puzzle game for the handheld that focuses on surgery. The game brings you different scenarios where a serious virus is spreading, and you with your surgical skills and ability to control time must save patients' lives and eradicate the virus.
I thought the idea of a surgical puzzle game is kinda catchy. Plus, it makes a lot of use with the Stylus pen.
That's it for the time being. I'll talk about more videogames as soon as possible.
Oh, and enjoy the holidays!

I met an old friend today. She was my classmate when I was in Sunshine School.
Can't believe I still remember her name, but surprisingly I remembered all of my other classmates. Did my years in Sunshine make a great impact in my life?
Maybe because the hardships we had after we left. It was a great change for us going from a private to a government school. Different and hard to get into.
My years in SM SMJA made me realize that Sunshine was alot more peaceful. The sight of boys smoking in toilets, constant fights, bullying, outrageous behaviour.. it was terrifying. The school was hypocritical on its promise of discipline.
What was worst was that it changed us so much we started losing our friends. What was once a big and happy community is now fragmented and destroyed.
Six years later, I met an old friend today. It brought back such joy and happiness that I forgot how broken we are. Different, same, taller, shorter... A meeting with an old friend was a joy I express completely.
