We Love You Baby

Tuesday, July 14, 2009
I haven't got to posting this video. It was recorded after the first Knights game. Everyone just gathered, put there hands in the center and started singing "I love you Baby". That is why I love this team. We are all crazy at heart. (Thank you Lisa for recording it ^^)

Warning! Bare chested men. Ladies, don't faint.

With rugby put on hold with the flu going around, only God knows when we'll finish the finals. Maybe once the puasa month ends or before the end of this year. Worst, maybe we'll move on to the next year without the finals game and never know who wins.

Darn.

I'm at home right now and since there is no training, I have to sit my butt here until I start my semester in ITB. I think it's better this way, it may give my foot some more time to heal and rethink all those rugby skills I had for the next game. But you know what I have? Great memories.

Frozen in time (5mins really) in Mall Gadong

Sunday, July 12, 2009
This was Sunday two weeks ago I think. So I heard this group was planning to do something, well, what we don't normally do: Surprise people publicly. I thought what the hell (I believe everyone else thought so too), and joined up anyway. It's a beautiful Sunday and hundreds of people will show up (I mean it seriously, parking in Gadong is an almost impossible task). It was easy enough to join, met alot of people I know then who also took part in the Freezing. Yes, it's great if you are not alone.

Video popped up in youtube recently. Can you believe it? 178 people joined up?

Want proof I was there? 1:56 there's my name!

Some more vids on that day. The freeze covered all four floors (to some going huh?! it includes the ground floor). First floor was packed but that did not stop us when the horn blew. Some were oblivious, hahahah!

Squirrels

Thursday, February 26, 2009
An interesting song about Squirrels. It tries to justify how exterminating a squirrel species might save Great Britain. Also, it questions on certain aspects in animal cruelty. "Animal Cruelty at its best when it's justified by protecting other animals." I love it when people sing about Irony!

123: Squirrels
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGCtDC-BfhU

Here in Britain we have a little problem with our squirrels.

See we have these beautiful red coated natives
But the last 50 years these foreigners have come about
They're not red but grey and pale
And at the risk of sounding like the Daily Mail
We wanna get those foreign bastards out!

Now I don't wanna be un - PC
So I'll call them chromatically challenged.

But basically they're hardened squirrel thugs
They eat all the squirrel food, carry knives and do squirrel drugs.
They terrorise our little reds,
they won't be happy till they're all dead
So let's start turning the grey ones into rugs.

Now I know what you're thinking, does anybody really care?
It's not like we're talking about whales, lions or polar bears
Plus animals go extinct all the time
And just cos this one is in decline
What makes it more worth saving than all the other ones out there?

Well I'll tell you why, it's size:

An inch is the threshold for our protection
Anything smaller isn't worth affection,
Anything bigger is big enough to be saved.

Wasps can die out, no great loss,
Mosquitos, don't give a toss
But we're talking about mammal... With four limbs... And forward facing eyes... It could almost be a tiny little human!
And that's just cute.

Whether you think the greys should be killed to make way
Or if you believe that nature's decided the reds have had their day
One thing that is beyond a doubt
I just wrote what I was told to write about
I don't give a shit either way.

More memories of Japan

Thursday, December 18, 2008
Thank you Kaka for making another one. Part 2 is more upbeat and it has more crazy poses from myself and my sister. There we get to meet two of her classmates, Nazuna and Kyoko and we had the most fun time there. From Kyoto's Cinema Village to Kobe Harborland, they were such sweet memories.

Can't wait to go sightseeing in Japan again ^^

Memories of Japan

Thursday, December 11, 2008
Fond days of Spring. Kaka sent a text message all the way from Japan about the video she made with the pictures when Mom and I were there. She was making it when she was here in Brunei and she said she's making it in three parts. The first part being the one below.

Thank you Kaka Naj for reminding us how amazing our time was in Kobe, Kyoto, and Himeji. Can't wait for the other vids ^^

McDonald Commercials

Friday, October 24, 2008
Tired of Ronald McDonald? Remind you too much of The Joker, and you hear his bloodcurling laugh every time you bite a Big Mac? Here's some interesting commercials for McD.

Can the guy from SuperSize me explain what does this all mean?
Well, I mean not that I'm complaining..

Does it make you want to buy the burger?

What about you ladies?

Family Guy: Chicken Fights

Saturday, October 11, 2008
Family Guy definitely tops my favourite television shows list. The best parts I've got to say is the chicken fights. Where somewhere in the middle of some episode the chicken appears and Peter Griffin goes at it with the giant chicken before beating a Bloody pulp!
WARNING: Viewer Discretion is Advised

The First Chicken Fight!

Giant Chicken Returns! The fighting gets better and better!

The Emmy Award winning Chicken Fight for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation!

From Raiders of the Lost Ark to Pirates of the Caribbean, watch it and notice how they seem very familiar!

A really sad film

Friday, August 8, 2008
Found this film in youtube.

Tore my heart out.

Apocalypse now

Wednesday, July 30, 2008
Finally got to watch Apocalypse Now. The film displays horrors of war amazingly. It makes you think who is the real good guys in the film. Or better, are there any good guys at all?

One scene that stiked me was the Helicopter Attack. Helicopters blast unmercifully through an enemy village and as a scaring tactic, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries was played. This is a terrifying example of Psychological Warfare.

Thought I'd play the song next time I drive to school.

Magibon

Monday, July 21, 2008
I was slacking of in class (for a while!).

I was in the computer lab and I was wondering if the Wi-fi signal is strong enough to watch youtube.

So I played a Magibon, a youtube phenom who has a habit of staring at the webcam for less than a minute. Nobody knows why or what's she doing there, staring at the screen, saying nothing. It creeps people out sometimes.

One thing's for sure, she's bloody cute!

Here's her most popular video. Prepare to be hypnotised!

Anyone Else but You

Tuesday, March 11, 2008
Left my Yellow Blog Diary in school. ARGHH!

1

Currently listening to:

Anyone Else But You - Michael Cera and Juno Page

A cover from The Moldy Peaches for the film, JUNO. This song is praised for being cute. I do agree when I listened to it. Two vocalist, a man and woman sing about the stages of a relationship, particularly between best friends. The refrains can mean "I only have eyes for you", which leads me to the conclusion that this song's theme is 'True Love'.

What I love most is the song is sang without any effort. Watching the video, the establishing shot with only the two lovers sitting outside with the guitars felt intimate and personal.

This is a song you sing with your friends and maybe someone you are comfortable with. Here's a vid to help you understand

You're a part time lover and a full time friend
The monkey on you're back is the latest trend
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Here is the church and here is the steeple
We sure are cute for two ugly people
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

We both have shiny happy fits of rage
You want more fans, I want more stage
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

You are always trying to keep it real
I'm in love with how you feel
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body's swinging from side to side
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me
So why can't, you forgive me?
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else…
But you

Looks like the interschool debate is coming on. PTEB working hard for their topic on Videogames. They are now targeting Zani, Abu, Jam, and myself. The closest knowledgeble harcore gamers they can find. But since I knew so much, I got chased around.

Umillah pulled me out of my chair to help her on the educational aspects of Videogames, in which she went on saying "Azzi, I'm really going to treat you someday for this. Swensons or whatever!"

I gave stuff about Brain Age, a career in Videogames, Fatal1ty, developers who earn big bucks, blahblahblah in her small book when she said, "Wow, 2 pages!"

Looks like Zani and I might be holding an educational lesson for them. *sigh*

Do Your best! Give me Victory!
(for some reason, this phrase is now stuck on me since that speech for Wijaya, erk..)

3

I remember Ckg Isma saying "Don't commit yourself to more that two clubs. You'll suffer for the rest of the year.

Lets see.. how many clubs..
PTEB Rugby Team, The Sixers
PTEB Music Club
PTEB Equinox
PTEB Social Giornale
Charity Club
Japanese club (a part time member)
Wijaya Captain

WARGH!!!!

Sorry Elle!

Night 2 Remember

Sunday, December 16, 2007
The Music Club Gala Night.

A pleasant farewell to our seniors.
We were lucky enough to celebrate without any outcry. We have made it safe and secure and did not cause any trouble of any kind.

With performances from Daniel, and a supergroup which include Fuad and Jeff.

Here's some pics for that night.

My table

The instruments on check

A solo performance by Daniel, his classical piece

The supergroup.. The Odds is it?

Fuad and Najah (yes, like your name Ka)

Daniel and his friend

A happy couple

Zad-el Superman

YEs, it was someone's birthday. Two people

And the birthday bunch

Daniel's solo performance. He plays his original classical piece

Then the supergroup playing the Jets' "Look What you've done"

It was a fun farewell, the seniors hoping we'd carry the spirit of the music club and atleast fulfill some dreams.

The Battle of Gaming

Thursday, December 13, 2007
In ongoing war between the Brothers of Destruction and some weirdo bunch of dudes, we battle on in Abu's house (his room specifically). There we go through a number of challenges.

Tekken 5
Soul calibur 3
Killzone
Guitar Hero 3

After being miserably OWNED by the dudes, I'm a proud to say we fought the good fight. Gamers go duke it out on each other is sure way to get the party started.

People Attending: Zani, Muiz, Fakhrul and myself.

Photo blog 29 / Video blog 03 : A lesson in Fire Prevention

Friday, November 30, 2007
Yesterday, it was almost as if the school is nearly empty. Teacher's Day left such a tiring mark on us, some us actually pushed ourselves to come to school.

And attended the 2 lectures, one of which is Fire Prevention.

According to tradition to most Fire Prevention lectures (I know, I had one in SMJA), the officials will start a fire in an open fields and ask volunteers to put it out.

Here's some pics..

I was at my Uncle's place when I saw a "collector's edition" of Optimus Prime.

Autobots, Let's Roll!

Please note this is the ORIGINAL look of Optimus before the MOVIE. I'm also surprised to see an Optimus Helmet that changes your voice and play quotes from Optimus Prime. Coolness

Testing.. testing.. AWESOME

Photo blog 16 / Video blog 02: Blue Coral!

Saturday, October 6, 2007
Ash was bored so we had our sungkai in TT Blues (a buffet, yum) and talked about school life and stuff. It's great to keep in touch with an old friend.

In the mall, went to have a Hot Vanilla drink in Westreet.

HOHO, met Jam the Battle-Queen along the way!

A Video of Jam, Ash and I looking through the Beautiful tasty gelato. BLUE CORAL!

I'd like to humiliate the Battle-Queen a little more, but being the merciful kind I am. I think I'll leave her defeat video to myself. BWHAHA
