After numerous attempts to florish the Music Club, we are repeatedly cut down by the faculty.
Some say it's our proposals that seem not to match with the school's image. Others, the event of 2006.
An event so big it traumatised the very reputation of the school.
And we are paying for it.
Looking at this as unfair treatment, I look for ways to put our position to perform for the PTEB carnival, being this will be the first and last performance we'll ever do.
After that, Jam, Zee and myself talk about the future of the music club.
Our future is there is no music club.
And we will change its name to become a new club of its kind.
Laidly planned, and all what's needed is commitment and dedication.
This is not for the music club, this is for our future and our juniors of 2008. To ensure that we still have freedom for our greatest passion.
We will discuss this with our Senior president, and our Vice President on these new changes.
And I'm also getting support from the Student Council and the PRS, just so to prove our worth that we students retain our rights.
I'm also asking Zee to promote me for 2nd Vice President, so I can commit more to my passion and serve the students of PTEB a healthy dish of freedom.
Ckg Asmali
Posted by
Ziggy
While doing my EAS exam, I was greeted by a very familiar face I haven't seen in years.
Ckg Asmali, my first Form One teacher from SM SMJA, surprisingly became our invigilator. One of the few last best things that SMJA had to offer, Chg Asmali brought back the nostalgia of the better years in my previous school.
Everytime I think of SMJA, I think of the hard cold years I spent there and the difficulties I had studying there. No it's not the school system, it's the life there. A big shock from Sunshine School to a horrifying Government School.
Life goes on, moving SMR seem like my life has gone to the better. I look back at my years then in SMJA as if to spit at it. But after seeing Ckg Asmali, I see the fun days I had then.
He had thin hair and grew a short beard, which I said, "Sir, you look experienced!"
Another teacher compared my scruffy beard (days with no razor and lack of sleep) to his and said "Who really is the student and who is the teacher?"

One's self
I was talking to a friend about being one's self.
There is no need to hide your true self by pretending someone you are not. Sometimes someone will think "if I was as coolheaded as (whoever) I'll be able to have more friends". It doesn't work that way, change is good but there's no need to change your own persona.
Be fine the way you are. If you think people don't like you because of who you are, remember there are people who do like you the way you are now.
I learned this lesson from Dan and Nas. Fids for listening to me. Thank you guys.

Learner's licence.. and someone I havent seen in years
Went to the that Transpot office to get my temporary driving licence.
First we need to pick out a Driving teacher, take a written exam, take a driving test, then I'm a few steps to my final freedom.
And the inevitability of the emergence of curfew. *sigh*
Funny today.
I saw an old friend taking her lesson today. Syara Nabilah.
Noticed her when I left the office premise. Don't know if she saw me though. I'm sure she did.
Funny thing about it is we haven't spoken for years. A kind of falling out.
Maybe one of those times I forgot how cruel I am.
I think we'll meet again, and by then I'll ask how's life.
God, it's sure nostalgic and, at the same time, painful.

at TT Blues cafe again..
..to see Dan's gig, this time with his band Stealing Seconds (is this correct).
I heard his Lead guitar is a guy called Fifi. Didn't realise it was our Fullback in our Rugby team. No wonder Dan wanted to be Fullback.
It was fun, we met Ezat, Jam, Mas, Jimbo, and Mizah (Thank you Mas for this).
Nas and I came together, Dan introduced us to a number of people (some I've already met). So while we waited, we chatted with our friends (jeff was Dan's bassist).
Phew, what a way to socialise!
The band's performed
Takeaway (?)
The Killer's Somebody Told Me (dedicated to Nas)
Mona (To Dan's girlfriend)
Later Dan performed his favourites,
Iris by the Goo goo dolls
Hemmorhage by Fuel (I cant get enough of this song!)
Angel eyes
and later the acoustic version of Mona.
I think he sang some more but I had to leave home by 10pm.
Overall, it was fun! Thank you Dan for inviting us!

No sense of Direction
I asked Jam (yes, The Battle Queen) to give me a ride (and surprisingly she did!) but it ended up as an hour of trying to find where my house is.
Do you know where SMR is? no
The old maktab Sains building? no
De Rimba? no
Wesmart? no
Liang toon? no
Pengkalan Gadong? You mean, soon lee?
So yeah, I think I made Jam frustrated, hahaha.
Oh well, she said just put her in my prayers for her AS level exams. And of course, I will.

Something amazing today..
I was surprised of the number of people playing with the Rugby ball in the basketball. A simple game of pass and all that, but it was as if we almost had a complete rugby team.
And then there are those people who recently joined (and wants to join) the Rugby team who'll get to play next year.
Wann, T-rex, Hadi, Cherry, and Pes teach our Rugby skills to everyone.
Andy had his first taste of Rugby (hahaha, my tackles). Hazim was playing Basketball and Rugby at the same time and expressed interest to play as the Backs. AQ was also playing but his B-ball skills already made him a great Rugby player (though not playing the game entirely). Dan is also interested, but thought I was reluctant to let him join.
DANIAL NORJIDI, HEAR ME THIS! I AM PROUD TO HAVE NEW RUGBY MATES TO JOIN OUR BATTLES. I AM NOT RELUCTANT, I AM TRYING TO BE A GOOD FRIEND AND LET YOU TRY OUT NEXT YEAR.
But since you want to start out this year, I am not disappointed but greatly overjoyed.
So don't think of me cruel, not at this point when I need to change.
I have enough of that in my lifetime.

Rain
It was raining, and Fids asked "What is it today that makes me so happy?"
Maybe it's because Shuif, Nas and Dan are now back at the table. Fids kept saying how she misses everyone even if it were a few days.
Rain can be a factor. To us, Rain is beautiful. It's comforting, and it's silent, and it's chilly..
I find rain the thing that washes our problems away, and eventually flow inside some drain to be returned to its sea along with other people's troubles so as to be cleansed again.
Rain is spiritual to me. It reminds me that this empty shell is able to feel and be renewed. I usually find the dark, cloudy and cold weather a great atmosphere to sit down in some corner and read. Maybe a cup of Hot Tea on the side.
Also maybe a great place to be inspired, write poems and admire how you forget everything in the comfort of the rain.
Rain is a thing for memories.

I was at my Uncle's place when I saw a "collector's edition" of Optimus Prime.
Autobots, Let's Roll!
Please note this is the ORIGINAL look of Optimus before the MOVIE. I'm also surprised to see an Optimus Helmet that changes your voice and play quotes from Optimus Prime. Coolness
Testing.. testing.. AWESOME

..and not many came.
The seniors are somewhere studying for their A-levels and a lot of people thought it would be a great idea to start the school day on Monday.
Luckilt my personal study period is on the last Block so I get to go home early.
Thanks Wani for the free food!

Fids's House
I went to Fids's open house yesterday. Zani couldn't join me but he made up by letting me bring the fireworks (hehehe).
Fids said I missed Wann, Farianne, Nisha, but I get to meet Abu and Fakhrul, and Dan later at 9.30pm.
Dan missed the house and called Fids. Fids told them to find the only house with lights on 'and a guy standing outside playing fireworks'. So when he arrived I blast a few Roman Candles.
Didn't get to try most of them because It was raining (and the spinners were generating a lot of smoke).
Thank you Fids for the yummy meal. Next time I'll bring more explosives, hahaha!

Celebrating raya in Babu Niah's house.
An awesome fireworks display. A lot of flowers, A-bombs, fountains, missiles and my favourite, Beehives!
Later that night, I asked Babu Niah where Uncle Jack put his guitar. We got out the case and it was like how I remembered it.
A Fender Stratocaster in Black and White. A classic Tremolo system. Strings replaced. In a hard case. I haven't seen it in years (before I got into guitars) and it still looks loved. Uncle Jack kept it in good condition even when he's close to before his passing.
"Uncle Jack would be smiling when he's here," and everyone laughed.

Tapak Kuda!
I asked my cousin what is the main highlight of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Fireworks?
Angpau?
Friends?
no. no. no. The answer is Tapak Kuda!
The thick chocolatey taste shaped into a horse shoe. Yummy.
Dedicated to Ammal-gaboo, so you can hate me a lil more, hahaha!

That night we played fireworks. My cousin Hafiz gave me some interesting tips on fireworks while lighting some up and running for cover. We tried out roman candles, daddy crackers, cauliflowers, launchers.. yeah, they're fun.
It brought back my passion for explosives, so maybe I'll be buy some soon. Bwhaha

A little slow. I start off my day with the Raya prayers then feast myself with breakfast (after being happily reminded by Zani that puasa ended today).
A bit faster after that. I nearly got a breakdown. I kept falling down with fatigue for some reason.
A bad headache after that. Too much pressure.
currently fine after a few caffienated drinks. Preferably coke light to help me sleep.
Well, yeah it was a success.
2
Funny story of the day. Wann was online so I thought I'd drop to say hi.
Azzi: Hey Man
Wann: Ani bkn wan

Azzi: ARGH!

It was during sungkai and Azan Maghrib began playing in the radio. Zani and I planned to eat a lot today to celebrate the Syawal month. It was during the meal when we started talking about the joy of Raya.
Me: I remember we were reciting the takbir raya in Ugama school. One of them cried as I recall.
Dad: Remember the Imam last year? I think someone will cry tomorrow.
Me: Curious, why do people cry anyway during Raya?
Then the takbir raya started playing in the radio. Hearing it reminded me that Puasa just ended this year. All the hardship during the fasting month all finished full.
I felt like Christina Yang in Grey's Anatomy. That episode when she couldn't stop crying. You feel helpless during the Puasa month and all that ends today.
Thank you God. I felt like I've just cleansed myself with your blessings.

A bit surprised when I saw Teen's Friendster profile. Her shoutout read:
This was my response to her sms days ago just so she could cheer up on her recent situation.
I don't usually get things like these. Whenever I see or hear them, I feel proud and extremely joyful. It's that idea that you made a difference for someone.
There are times when I feel helpless, such as when Fids was crying alot, and when Dan looked miserable, and when Nas broke to tears. I sat there wondering what can I do as a friend?
You know that feeling that you made a big impact with someone? Like you have just become a big part of that person's life.
Year ago, Haziq Waqiuddin and his family named his youngest brother 'Hazazi'. The biggest honor I got from a friend.
So friendship has always been a sensitive issue for me. I want to be remembered as that comfortable teddy bear who's always there for you. Share hugs, cheer you up, dry your tears...
Please, a favor for everyone. Remember me as that friendly giant who is happy to be loved.

Selamat Hari Raya everybody!

My first creation : the Water Lily with shiny origami paper
Bet this'll look bloody nice in the living room
I learned another bird!
And my favourite,the crane
Just to show everyone the rest of the stuff Kaka bought. Naruto Keychains!
Kakashi, Tsunade, Hinata, and a ring (probably Itachi's)
To bore you people more, I posted a clip of myself playing Elite Beat Agents just to prove to you how difficult the game can be. But addictive!
A clip from the awesome game. See how chaotic it is to use one stylus?!

Yesterday was the last day of the term, after that we'll be back in Saturday during the Raya month. I got my clothes ready, my favourite grey, black and gold shirts.
Since Ammal and I finished our presentations (thank God), I was able to watch the rest do theirs. Dan and Nisha goes on to act out Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway portraying a love-hate couple (funny!). Played Murder during Sociology class, one of those clever things Ckg Hadi came up with. Mr K didn't come to class today so I spent my Block 4 with my friends (who seem to have escaped class).
This afternoon we went to Gadong and had our sungkai in Sushi Tei again, this time with the rest of the family. Later that night we went to watch Resident Evil 3: Extinction (fairly ok movie).
Met Hadi, Safwan, Dibs, that Tekken dude Zani's been talking about (kicked my ass, but kicked his too), Zym and her friend Kiim (spl?), the Eren and Ummi's group, Dilah and friends, Cherry, Lid, and Wann in the Mall. Maybe to celebrate the last day of school?
Bought a new Nintendo DS game : Elite Beat Agents. For those who might have heard of the beat game, it's not cheesy (well, maybe partly cheesy) and it's addictive as the reviews say. Though the only problem is you using the Stylus pen with an opaque hand blocking the screen. But it's cool! You have songs like 'Sk8tr boi', 'Material girl', 'YMCA', 'Survivor'.. those cool songs.
Zani too got himself a new PSP game : Monster Hunter 2. Comes with a special key chain, awesome. Zani's been really excited and we've been constantly talking about whether we can create a videogame community in PTEB (a videogame club, wonder if we can create a proposal with the principal?).
Last Note..
KAKA!! OMG, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH (ok, too much emotion for just origami paper, but it's alot!!). THANK YOU!! But it seems the message you wrote on the sides faded.
And thanx for the Naruto keychains! They're awesome!
Looks like Aira is excited with her Sudoku book, Mom really excited with her Sudoku book machine - thingy.. Did I mention that i got them so addicted to Sudoku that they finished all the easy puzzles in my book? Aiyah!
Zani confused on what to do with the pants, but loves the book you bought.
Dad surprised with the green tea ^_^

The Power of Hugs

Nobody hugs you this month. Must be the lack of sahur power.
Today I want to describe the Power of 'Hugs'.
Fids agress that Hugs is a Drug, and nobody gets tired of them.
You can calm a Beast with a hug. The very warmth of locked arms is comforting.
Whenever you feel sad, angry, depressed or whatever, always have a friend ready for a hug.
When you're in love, you become aware that there is someone in your arms to make you feel safe.
A hug can also define your very existence.
Yes, that's how powerful it is really.
I remember those hugs I had when we celebrated New Year in the Philippines, and I also remember those hugs I had when we said goodbye.
So everyone, hug your friends and family this Raya. Try to remember how happy you were then.

Photo blog 16 / Video blog 02: Blue Coral!
Ash was bored so we had our sungkai in TT Blues (a buffet, yum) and talked about school life and stuff. It's great to keep in touch with an old friend.
I'd like to humiliate the Battle-Queen a little more, but being the merciful kind I am. I think I'll leave her defeat video to myself. BWHAHA
In the mall, went to have a Hot Vanilla drink in Westreet.
HOHO, met Jam the Battle-Queen along the way!
A Video of Jam, Ash and I looking through the Beautiful tasty gelato. BLUE CORAL!

Youtube surfing
Ok, an hour ago I just had my Sahur. An Hour passes and I'm still stuck on this pc.
Youtube surfing again. I've been checking out X-play reviews (hilarious) and of course, to watch Morgan Webb (heheh). The Goddess of Gaming.
Also, I watched another MGS4 trailer, this time it introduces the old favourites from the previous game (including now 70 but still attractive Eva, or know as BIG mama)
Another awesome game in the making.

Currently listening to: Dope Train by The Vines
I'm also downloading the first episode of Heroes Season 2 at the moment. God, I love it when they reveal unexpected stuff in every episode. Cliffhangers rule.
I've lost 9kg this year. I've been running a lot in school, especially with a Rugby Ball in my hand. I've also been playing Basketball (with Amirul yesterday, taught me how to shoot). I haven't played Basketball in years and I think I still get the feel. Since I played Rugby, I lost my fear of balls aiming at my face. It's great that I started Sports again.
Looks like I'm getting thinner after all. Must be the new haircut.
Everyone kept saying how I look like Zani. Even my Math tutor said, "Eh Si Khalil rambut nya." Well, not that I'm proud that I look like my brother, but I'm happy that everyone sees the changes I've been through over the years.
I asked most of the (very reputable) girls in PTEB whether I'm charming or not. Surprisingly, most of them says I do. Most be the poetry I've been reading and speaking aloud.
"Your hair is as radiant as the clear blue sky"
"I see water in your eyes, a clear crystal"
"Your smile shines like a million suns across the universe."

Photo Blog 15: The Beast-ball
My new Rugby ball to celebrate my 18th birthday.
A Yellow Carisbrook ball made specially for the 2007 Division 6 tournament. Very light, but hard skinned. Very good suction for grip, but slippery when wet. May affect kicking accuracy due to light weight.
Overall, it's a good rugby ball for a long chain of matches.
Plus, it's bloody beautiful to look at.
Noticed in Photo blog 3: Trinity of Sport in May 2007, I named my first ball "Spartan". T-rex's idea is that once it fades then we truly become Spartans.
I named my new one "Beast-ball" to make-up with the team names the Principal refused. And also due to love for Crash balls, bwahaha.

Je dois partir

You must be wondering why I've been naming my blog titles in French.
To those hardcore metalheads, you might notice this comes from one of the best Megadeth songs, A tout Le Monde.
Let me translate it:
"À tout le monde"
To everyone
"À tous mes amis"
To all my friends
"Je vous aime"
I love [all of] you (plural)
"Je dois partir"
I must leave
Like it says, Je dois partir!
