I may be a loyal fan to Metallica, but honestly I thought St Anger was the bigger and better album. After scorging through Bang Jul's Metallica collection I found the other albums more satisfying, even the criticized St Anger.
Sure you might argue St Anger isn't the true Metallica sound, but its an emotional album full of angst and frustration that mixed well with the angry nature of metal. So sorry Death Magnetic, it's either ..And Justice for all, The Black Album or St Anger.
Here's a video to annoy your heads off!

The moment you touch the person you miss, it's like all those emotions that you saved for this very moment gushes out of you like a waterfall. Yes everyone, I have internet again! WOOT!
The day I turned 19, we went to celebrate, of all places, at the Empire hotel. Let me remind you all that the beef there is spectacular (and I wonder if a campaign to bug them for the recipe would work).
Sometime during my delicious meal, drums started banging like some ritual to offer sacrifices. What came out of it?
Thank you everyone for the birthday greetings and I really appreciate it, especially kaka Naja for the birthday surprise!

It takes losing something to realize you need it. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm talking about my internet connection. I'm at Abu's house using his laptop (in return, for our PS3 T_T). So in the meantime, I will have to wait till I can post pictures.
This morning I woke up and the first thing I asked my sister was, "What's the date today?"
"24th.. why?"
"I thought it's my birthday today!"
Birthday's coming in two days. Yes, everyone. I'm turning 19 in the 26th. God knows how am I going to spend it, I mean I had an awesome time when I turned eighteen (I mean it's like a rite of passage dude!). But then, what if 19 is the actual age of adulthood?
God knows what lies ahead after 19. Only I can say for sure, that every year is a new change and that every age is a new person. So here's to a new year and pray it'll be an eventful future.

It's definitely a strange feeling. It's been 3 days and still my mind is going over this person like crazy after one meeting. Why am I so flusterred about this? One thing is for sure is that this girl, you see, had been pictured in my head in replay. Maybe it's the puasa month that's causing it, or maybe it's this darned fever!
God, this feeling is wonderful! It's like it renewed me in some way, leaving me fresh every morning. It surpasses even the pain of sickness.. it's driving me to write poetry!
A muse? Goddess Aphrodite? The persona of love? Names like these is unimportant now. I'm talking about the person that grips your attention from not the way she looks but her existence. Personality, action, decision, the very stress of every word, the way she looks at people, the wavelength, and this list is going to get real complicated if I don't stop now.
I'm still in shock of disbelief. What I am experiencing is new to me but this is different. It's like you forget the possibilities of a heartbreak. It takes the fear out of your soul, replacing it with hope and confidence. It is making me stronger than ever!
Here's to everyone, I was wrong all this time!
Love at First Sight does exist!
And true love as well...
The wind cries her name,
but my heart speaks only of love,
though love will be the end of me,
I will cry harder than the gust
so that my heart speaks true.

Currywurst
Today's recipe is a German favourite! Currywurst in Germany is like Hotdogs in the US. After reading an article on its popularity, I could not help but try to savor this unique meal. So I grabbed a recipe and fixed it up during Sahur.
First you make the tomato sauce. I personally made it with chili in it and some garlic and onions for the aroma. I added some water to lighten it up. While you heat up the sauce, fry your sausages. Once they are done, cut them into pieces of your choosing. I would cut around 2 cm. Arrange them in a bowl.
Pour the sauce to cover the sausages. Then the MOST IMPORTANT part:
Powder it up with curry! WOOT! Use a strainer to make it even.
As you can see from the top, I snowed out with the curry ^_^ yay!

Hidayat leaves for UK
Yesterday, Hidayat left to study in the UK. Instead of a goodbye or a see you later, it became a heartful farewell. Most of us were eager enough to see him off even when Sungkai was his leaving time. So most of us who knew him since 2002, when he returned from the UK and ended up in our class, came to say their last goodbyes after 2 years.
Embraces were exchanged, we said our "good luck", and once Hidayat nears the door, we shouted "BYE, YAT!"
Once Dayat left, we forgot to have our Sungkai (at 7:30pm O_O) so we took our time to eat at CA Muhammad. I was craving for some Mee Mamak anyway ^_^
With everyone on the table it felt like another reunion. We discussed about our three years in SMJA and what a great memory it was when we talked about the crazy things we did. Surprisingly, one chair was left empty (or rather occupied by Faeiqah's bag).
I said to Faeiqah, "You know, Dayat would sit there and you guys would talk alot!"
"Hahaha, you're right! Nobody sits here but Dayat!" said Fae.
See you in two years brother.

Hidayat: "Uh... wha?"
Bodyguards for hire, like always ^_^
Tight squeeze!
The guys from SMJA 3B 2004. Along with the PTEB and Teknik people.

Zani is a definite game freak. We were regulars at EGM Serusop, so much that they know us, since we came here alot for PS2 games and repairs. That is why both of us, despite going to other shops like DeeJay, Golden Music and ETA games, loyally go to EGM wherever we want to look at games.
This is an image of what happens when Zani looks through the PS3 games in a frantic manner.

I'm going to ask everyone to join in on this. After writing a comment on Fakhrul's blog, it reminded me of how much passion I have whenever I type something.
Leave a comment on this post and state your reason for blogging. It has to be an honest and heartfelt reason because writing a diary or a weblog is like exploring your life, the universe, and everything. Even from recorded everyday chatter to some hilarious pictures and clips you found around the net.
Like I said in Fakhrul's blog, it's a medium of self expression. It's our freedom of speech.
Thank you guys for your support.

A Jolt of Celebration

Ramadhan in school isn't very complete without fire crackers. It's like tradition in Rimba, every year some terrorist would blow some crackers in the craziest of places.
The act of rebellion impresses me all the time. Teachers would scatter and hunt but it's always an amazing disappearing act, like the breath of napalm. Don't get me wrong, I know it's criminal. It's so funny that only a few people actually got out to catch them. Maybe they appreciated the jolt of celebration during these boring days of the fasting month.
Whenever you feel you want to let a barrage of bombs, play this song. Fire them up in the finale and make it a blast! (for more desired effect, start at 3:06 ^_^)
Tchaikovsky 1812 overture (finale)
Right after an explosion, smoke starts to lift and the perpetrator is unseen.

This one's outside the staffroom next to the prncipal's office.

Curry Noodles
I had a craving for curry noodles at Rasamas. The curry was perfect, definitely how laksa should be. The soup burns in your throat but the way the sweetness combines with the tofu, hmm..
Yes, I'm talking like this because I'm fasting.

Ramadhan Blues
It's Ramadhan again. I think I made a great improvement last year when I learned not to chew my pens this time. The only thing I'm worried about is how to spend the rest of my time when school cuts time short. Worst, the holidays are coming.
You know it's the same situation in prison, what can you do during the whole sentence? You can work out and pick somebody, but it won't work during this whole month.
I do manage to spend my time reading, playing videogames and watching television ^_^

Cheese Rolls! Ziggy Style!
My food comes from my dreams, believe it or not. That's how I learned to make my fried rice, combining the salty oyster sauce with chili to create a unique sweet and sour taste then cooking it until the rice becomes beautifully red.
Days ago, Ladies and Gentlemean, I dreamt of a new recipe.. CHEESE ROLLS!
It's pretty simple. The honey and cheese was an odd mix but it really is good ^_^.
Days ago, Ladies and Gentlemean, I dreamt of a new recipe.. CHEESE ROLLS!
All you need is butter, honey, soft bread, and cheese slices ^_^
First, spread the butter (or margerine) on the bread lightly. I use Lof bread coz it's soft and large enough.
After that, spread the honey on top of the butter. Thsi way the honey doesn't seep into the bread, therefore stays inside to mix with the cheese.
Add the cheese! Fold the bottom edge of the bread with the cheese slice, then roll!
Voila! A cheese roll! What's next?
Make more ^_^ You can leave it in the fridge, or you can toast it in the oven and enjoy cheese galore.

Metallica RETURNS
Metallica returns to its heavy crunching melodies after an aggressive era of St Anger! Death Magnetic brings Metallica back to their roots. Listening to The Day That Never Comes kept reminding how it epic it was during the ...And Justice For All days. The slow melodic to a thrashing finish reminded of One.
I am a die hard fan of Metallica, everyone knows that. The Day That Never Comes is a whole melodical epic but as it gets faster, it brings back the nostalgia of the Metallica then.
So here's Metallica in the year 2008. Death Magnetic coming soon on 12th September. And their latest music video: The Day That Never Comes
I'll can't wait for the new Metallica album. The anticipation is pretty big since Cyanide, and the two 'New Songs'. Plus, I did some research and found there is a new Unforgiven version called Unforgiven III. Metallica Fans! Get ready for some metal up your ass! Here's the Death Magnetic Trailer.

Guitar Hero World Tour Surprises
I have to agree that Guitar Hero still hasn't lost its charm. Sure, Rock Band might have taken the spotlight with its new mechanics and GH4 looks like its trying to rip it off, but GH4 shows evidence that its trying to broaden its image with not only new accessories, but an amazing arsenal of customising.
But best of all, is its special appearances by celebrities.
This is going to be awesome! Looking at this pic makes me want to get GH4 even more!

Before Puasa
Not for the faint hearted (those who cannot withstand the sight of food or even the word 'FOOD' itself!)
Again with Tradition. Surprisingly, the day before Ramadhan is treated like an ocassional holiday farewell party. What is amazing, however, is that it's happening in different cliques.
Fizah enjoying her macaroni.
and the very gorgeous Zirah eating her cake ^^
On Zulle's table is a feast of nasi katok!
Nabilah's table, however, is over the top! Lasagne, fried foods, cake..
But on my table, what else than Fidsy's AWESOME CHEESECAKE!
Zaty's table getting ready to gorge themselves to satisfaction.
I apologise to everyone who is aching for Sungkai ^_^

Fakhriah! The latest addition of the coolest people I know. Behind this cold (can I add evil?) exterior lies a heart of pure fun. She can spin off sarcasm at any time and one of the few who can withstand the lameness and randomness of my jokes. Fakhriah's other speciality is she can last minutes in a battle of mom jokes with Dan ^_^
To Fakhriah: Ok, you might think this is very random but I needed something to mark the occasion. Really, I ran out of ideas.
But then you said how are we friends if we never hung out?
The fact is.. I DON'T CARE ^_^
