Photo blog 30: the Rugby Panda, the Game Freak, and the Battle Queen

Went to the mall with Zani today. Wasted more money in the arcade and hogged Drummania (can never get tired of that game).

We planned to watch Hitman at 6pm then the Battle Queen sent a text.

Jam: Are you in d mall? play in arcade?
Azzi: Watching Hitman at 6pm, wanna join?

And so the Rugby Panda, the Game Freak, and the Battle Queen watched Hitman together.

Which sucked.

Jam laughed, "OMG, I'm going out with twins!"

Photo blog 29 / Video blog 03 : A lesson in Fire Prevention

Yesterday, it was almost as if the school is nearly empty. Teacher's Day left such a tiring mark on us, some us actually pushed ourselves to come to school.

And attended the 2 lectures, one of which is Fire Prevention.

According to tradition to most Fire Prevention lectures (I know, I had one in SMJA), the officials will start a fire in an open fields and ask volunteers to put it out.

Here's some pics..

"Teachers
God Bless You
from Azzi
Nothing much to give except for my prayers"

Something I wrote on the Teacher Dedication Board.

Today we celebrate the day we thank our Teachers for their patience and hardwork (Ok, normally I don't sound like this).

Ranging from a tribute, an MP medley, a magic show, dancing, and more.

MPs singing Toy Story's You got a Friend in Me
Izun sang Umbrella for a brief time, and they never expected that the audience would sing the chorus themselves!
Zirah singing Michael Buble's Home.
Danial's Knocking on Heaven's Door!
Their dedications.
Safrizan's daring "Sorry for overdue homework" speech!
And surprisingly, Danial sang Mona (thought I saw a some sour faces there)

Then after that the teacher's treated us with ready-made food in the canteen.
And then more fun: the Tekken finals!

A special guest, Dee.

With all the free food, videogames, and Dee in PTEB, nothing stopped me from smiling alot today.

Next Day..
Asked Yusra what did he do with the Tekken trophy.
"Using it as an ashtray"

Tables arranged, Tekken and Winning Eleven 11 Tournament begins, Reptile and Rodents display, Futsal tournament goes on, same goes with the Student vs Teacher Basketball tournament (Amirul proud to be Top Shooter).

Can you believe this? I lost in the first round, and my challenger was a Tekken Fanatic!

It's also rehearsal day and everyone readies for Teacher's Day tomorow!

Some lovely pictures!

p.s. Yes, I did get my chance to touch the snake!

Last day of learning today! WOOHOO! A lot of happy stuff, blahblahblah.

What I did today:
-Learned French with Mr Kendrew (Pardon, est-ceque vous comprenez l'anglais?)
-Finished Socio Presentation and Ckg. Hadi ends school year by distributing Timeouts and Mars Bars!
-Finished a crucial Twelfth Night scene!
-Hang out in the Hall during the Teacher's Day rehearsals
-Watched the Futsal Tournament
-Helped the Japanese Club
-Had fun what else!

2
Funny today. Safwan (AKA T-rex, PTEB Rugby Flanker no. 7) didn't say hi or waved. He looks at everone weirdly like he's depressed. Didn't smile, and not one funny word.

Then I heard from Sham in Brunlish, "Zi! You know Safwan lost his mind?"
Thought he gone crazy over the harsh training. But Sham explained to me in detail.

Safwan got a bad accident during his national training. Knocked his head at the cranial and literally lost his mind!

Amnesia.

It's sad to see him blank faced and all, confused who's this and that. Then slowly everything comes back to him.

Kinda surprising during rehearsals he smiled again.

"So remember me?"
"Yes, Zi!"

Then sometime after a performance..
"Zi!"
"What?"
"Lets do the Haka during Teacher's day!"

He remembers me!

3: Interhouse Futsal Tournament!

Random Fact: Cherry is voted as "The Sexiest Butt among Male students in PTEB". Stuff I hear.

P.s. I like playing around with the MPs "I know something you don't know ^_^"

Photo blog 25: Much to Nadz's delight

Pretty excited to see Jamie Reeves today. A TV Personality in ESPN, in Football Focus especially. Otherwise, famous for the "Buy BP land, I did. We did. Well, she did" Advertisement which I see everytime the Rugby World Cup goes on a break.

A best friend of Mr Whitehead, came to visit along with his wife (who is also famous in the BP land advertisement). Alot of talk about football in class especially from Nadz (Arsenal Fan and Football Journalist) and from Danial. No one could stop Nadz when it comes to football.

Listening to them talk about football was pretty astonishing, some like a debate, some like a commentary on the whole football world.

Jamie Reeves

Jamie Reeves and Mr Whitehead shared stories of teaching and football.

Trivia: Mr Whitehead's nickname was SCUD. Named after a SCUD Missile from his ability to launch a header.

Marvelous stuff!

Thought I'd be bored for staying in the Mall from 4pm to 6pm alone. Thought wrong.

Friends met today:
Danial
Dibs
Fina
Fiqah
Amirul
Fifah
Fahmi

Talked to Fiqah (who is suprisingly the ne President of the Japanese Club) about the PTEB Showcase, asking whether entertainment is possible. Looks like we might get some chances for the seven groups unable to perform for teacher's day.

Met Amirul and we both had nothing to do. So played pool.

"Think'st thou that I, who saw the face of God"

I use quotes from the Christopher Marlowe play The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus.

Faustus asks Mephistophilis, representative of Lucifer, why is he out of hell. In which Mephistophilis replies:

"Why this is hell, nor am I out of it.
Think'st thou that I, who saw the face of God,
And tasted the eternal joys of heaven,
Am not tormented with ten thousand hells
In being deprived of everlasting bliss?"

It means that Mephistophilis has great knowledge about God, and that he desires to return to Heaven. This brings to mind Lucifer's role as the Fallen Angel.

In life's terms, it can mean:
Are there any choices that we regret and cannot change?. or
Do we really like to hate and not love anymore? or
Is life a torment?

Some might actually sympathise the Devil, not for being proud but pointing out what's true in mankind.

"And tasted the eternal joys of heaven"

Gets really boring sometimes.
When I feel really depressed, I give Dee a call and my worries disappear.
I don't get many subjects to talk about in the phone except for anime, manga and games. Wish could push the list a little further.

Don't wanna talk too much.
:( Wish I can sms more but I'll wait then.

Dee, hope you can come to PTEB in the 28th. It'll be fun!
Elle and Ammal would be glad to see you.
And myself? I'll smile a thousand smiles when I see you.

Currently making a song with my guitar. Maybe I'll sing it during the PTEB Showcase by then.

Until then, chow!

"Am not tormented with ten thousand hells"

Didn't get to perform for Teacher's day this year. Looks like I didn't do well with my Across the Universe performance.

Which sucks.

A little upset about it but a little cheering up got me going again. Thanks Zym, you the best. and to Fakhrul for the onion thingys.

Currently listening to: Praise - Sevendust

Here I'm writing to take the stress away.

I don't get it. School's almost over and yet I'm still panicking. I keep questioning myself why do I really want to perform for teacher's day?

After a little disagreement today, looks like I have to follow Jam's advise.. follow up to plan B.

Thought Fried Cheese would work, hehehe.

Events for the the end of the Year.. hehehe

Currently listening to: Metalingus - Alter Bridge

Thinking of leaving my hair long for december. Wanna try out a new look =)

Lately I've been rocking on my Dean, trying out riff after riff so to make a metal song when I do get my band ready for next year.

At the same time, I'm practising Across the Universe and seeing if any effects can create a euphoric tune. The things that guitarist do.

I hope I can get Izun and Zimo to join. Pray for me!

Looking Through the Green Glass Doors

Alot of stuff to do:
Teacher's Day
Saving Cash
Articles for Equinox,
the Social Newsletter,
the mini magazine..

ARGH! (There, relief!)

I kept wondering when will my head pop. Seriously! All this pressure I'm getting (work, peer..) and I'm still standing. Must be the Rugby training =)

Just to fill you in the latest news, I just registered myself for Teacher's day and I'm currently recruiting Izun, Zimo and maybe Zirah (bwahaha) to sing Across the Universe.

Seems like the music club members are performing (only they are not the music club, don't get it?). Heard it was Sean Kingston. Dan and 'his house band' rolling their roots soon.

It's like everyone I know will be taking part, but I'm not gonna give up yet!

2
Mas's driving got me a heart attack yesterday (not literally people)! She blasted Fallout Boy in the cars and drove 180km/hr! Major Freak OuT!

3
Dan told me an awesome joke today, really clever shit I tell you.
"Looking through the green glass door..
I see a book but not the words,
I see a tree but not the leaves,
I see Jess but not the chair (WTF),
I see the roof but not the sky..
BLAHBLAHBLAH"

"What about this? I see the color orange but not the bag"
"You can't see neither"

Really clever.

Photo blog 23: Surprise for Dan

Tuesday, November 13, 2007
Today Fids bought a cake for Dan much to his surprise, to celebrate his Victory in the battle (he won best vocals, forgot to mention that ^_^). Since we knew Dan worked so hard on his band and other stuff that he participates, we thought It would be a good idea to party for him.

Here's to Dan. Man of the hour, a brother, and the greatest friend among us.

While everyone gets their share of cake (Nas said "give me Wetzone because it makes me wet" O_O ) I asked Dan for "Battle...Bands" part of the cake.

For the future, I guess.

The Battle

Monday, November 12, 2007
I asked Dan and Jeff (whose band Stealing Seconds won the ISB Battle of the Bands) whether the crowd is the wildest they've seen.

I confirmed that it was definitely the wildest live show that happened every year.

What's so sad is that nearly everyone I know went to see The Battle while I stayed home getting ready for school tomorrow.
I felt left out a little, but then there is always next year.

I heard stories of people moshing and stage diving (I heard Lid did this) which made me dreadfully regret not participating in the spectacle.

I write here, right now, that I swear I'll either attend or Perform for the ISB Battle of the Bands next year.

Yean, do you remember when I told you that my first shot in playing live would be in the Battle?
I'll do my best to make this dream come true.

Drum mania woohoo!

Sunday, November 11, 2007
Played Drum Mania endlessly yesterday. Since it's new I thought I'd give it a try. Surprisingly, it was really addictive. Lost over $10, hahaha.

One of the songs is the Sex Pistols, Anarchy in the UK. Coolness!

ISB Battle of the Bands

Obviously couldn't attend because these events last till midnight, and the next day was saturday (school night)

Stealing Seconds won the battle. God bless you Dan.

I'm currently finding members for my band to play upbeat metal. Not to win, but to enjoy.

And maybe get an award for best guitarist, hehehe.

Spice girls are back!

Friday, November 9, 2007
WOOHOO!

Ok, this is unexpected from a metalhead.. but who can't deny that these ladies are a cultural pop phenomenon?

Here is their latest single, Headlines (Friendship never ends)

Everything's so fast!

Thursday, November 8, 2007
Today Dad came home and told us that he's going overseas today, in such short notice!. I didn't even know where he is going.

I think that's life now at this point. I find myself more individualistic since I turned eighteen.

TV camera's filled the canteen today. People making some sort of drama for tv (which obviously don't really look well..). One of the actors dressed in PTEB uniform but is sporting long hair and a couple of earrings, hahaha, what a joke! And they blame the music club for ruining the school's image!

A lot of Stuff happenin'

Wednesday, November 7, 2007
Guitar Hero 3 was awesome. Not only I get to hear cool guitar tunes, I get to play some of my favourite metal songs, "one" by Metallica and "raining blood" by Slayer.

One time, Aira was blistering her fingers through the thrash metal sequences while I rocked out with air guitar with massive headbanging.

Kinda reminds me of the Social Newsletter, need to finish that article on 'Metalheads'.

I sent my Movie review on Death Note for the Equinox newsletter. I wanted to make a spoof for Mina's Fight Skool comic but it seems I left it in school... hahaha.

It seems that I've participated alot of stuff in PTEB lately.
Rugby
Music
Equinox
Social Newsletter

Dan has more stuff which he works hard with (like the ISB Battle of the Bands this Friday).

Concerning the Music club,
Tomorrow I'll be considering a new leadership system I call the BIG 5.
The goal is to represent, lead, and speak for the music club.

Consist of:
Azzi
Zee
Nawi
Jeff
Jam

This is the first act I will do for my rise to power so as to gain support and a group to speak for the music club before the finalisation of its ban.

Because I think this ban is unfair treatment and done unprofessionally, and so I will fight for it using the individuality I was given since early this year.

After a call..

Monday, November 5, 2007
Following Fakhrul's advice, I decided to call Dee.

After today's depressing mood Fakhrul said a call would cheer me up alot.

Surprisingly, it did.

It's amazing how talking to someone can bring out the happiness in you.

I havent't talked to Dee for weeks, but after a few messages later I feel happier.
She reminded me of the date we promised and I told her I want to make it special for her.

I can't wait!

Today of all days

I got depressed today.
I don't know whether the fact that Fakhrul is going out with someone, or that I didn't know about it.

And then I kept saying how Life is a bitch and then you die. Like some kind of slogan I say to advertise myself for attention.

Dan and Nisa said I was lucky to get a driving licence, yet as if I wanted to be uncomplete.

I made a fool of myself in front of Farianne today. I was bitching about how life is hard, and how troubling relationships are.
"You want a girlfriend, is that it?" she said.
I tried to deny it, but I think Farianne understands. All this ranting about life and relationships is just because of some stupid idea that while everyone's dating I should to. I say to myself, is it greed?

I say to Farianne, am I pathetic?
"Well, it depends"

I have greater respect for Farianne now. One of those people that completely sees through you.

Took a ride with Fids, Nas, Zaty, Nisha, Dan, Cherry and Dhil to the MV Doulos in Muara. It was fun.
