Quantum of Solace

Is James Bond back? I doubt so. After being mesmerized by the slick style of Casino Royale, I was excited to catch the film. However, despite being the sequel to one of the best spy films I've seen, it was just another action flick. No style.

It was just mindless! It didn't feel like a Bond film and it would have been no different if Vin Diesel played as Bond in the film. Don't get me wrong, Daniel Craig still had his new Bond charm but this emo look is too much.

Just Fields. (Who would call themselves Strawberry? No wonder you didn't say it..)

My biggest complaint was the lack of a recognizable foe. No bleeding eye, no iron teeth. All I see is short man and a Military General bent on domination. That my friends is too cliche. I'd rather have the eye bleeding gambler come back to life.

One particular scene, however, stands out from the rest of the film. Referenced as the Oilfinger scene, it is a homage to the older Bond film and honestly, this is the only scene that felt truly Bond.
