150th post goes to Wetszone

It's 11:55pm and I reminiscence about my PTEB years.

Particularly my own account on the history of how the circle of friends known to us as Wetszone is formed.

I think it started in Sociology block 2, then in Psychology block 3. I sat next to Shuif then Danial came along. Our first real conversation was on what I wrote on my notebook: "My Guitar has Wings".

Dan: "Your notebook caught my eye. Are you a guitar fanatic?"

Then we talked about Megadeth, In Flames and other metal bands showing clearly how experienced he is in music.

Then he said: "Ok, let's work hard so we can get girls on this table!"

The next day we did, in the form of the loveable Fids and the cheerful Nas who were creeped out by a certain fellow on their table.

This is when our group felt completely happy.

Then there's the pressure that came suddenly on Fids, Nas and Dan. However, this only made the three much closer.

Zaty and Nisha sits with us ocassionaly, particularly on certain projects and helps us out.

We tend to communicate outside our group, so we got to know Cherry, Nadz, Dibs, Belle, Wann, and many more.

While Fids is depressed and in need of help (or a warm hug), she gets to know Zym, a friend who cheers you up completely.

Then Nas gets to know Dhil and becoming much closer.

The seniors leave for A-levels and we take our group to a higher level by taking a table and finally forming a clique.

And it was Dhil who came up with our name, "Wetszone". The reason? Due to a very cheeky conversation among us.

It now sits alot of friends, such as Nazz, Fakhrul, Abu, and Jam. And then there's the ocassional Daia, and Zani.

Fids said: "It's not one group. It's many groups. It's like everyone from different groups are part of us."

However.

Once the dust settles and the bell of Block 3 rings, I sit alone with no one to join me. I usually would finish my work in peace or go to the other groups to chat, but I'm not depressed.
Just like in my final year in Sunshine School, where everyday I sweep the floor in class while the boys play football. I do not feel alone, but I do feel humble.
